India for one is well advanced in Lithium Battery recycling and LIT's offering in that space is a sparrow by comparison. One operation has 38 granted global patents, partners with Hyundai and Samsung and capacity to recycle 300,000 tonnes over next 5 years. The process alone extracts 98% Lithium Carbonate in a game changing methodology unavailable elsewhere.
News that might be coming back from this swan might just be the opposite i.e. what can you (India & China) sell us.
Said it before, say it again, battery recycling is small beer in OZ, funded by hand-outs from the importers, with very little self generation of cash.
