these are metrics from Kwinana nearly 20 years ago, the numbers give us a vauge insight, but we can gauge that our cost would be well below $200 a tonne, making our own biochar, and processing our own FE and as you said, also eliminating the big cost, shipping.

leaves the Cost per tonne below the $200/t usd

that leave a margin of 250-450$ per tonne produced in profit margin.

not hard to see why they have so much interest in getting the DRI off the ground to suffice future feed for the pig iron.

also worth noting that Mitsubishi say they want the DRI for local American use!!! which can be found in the middle of the announcement, as it's the Mitsubishi trading arm we are dealing with.
