I agree the role of other company officers CFO, COO, CIO and in promoting the comapny is important. They need to have a profile because other is eif someting happens tot he CEO , usually leaving the company looks to lack continuity.

An excellent example was Matt Dusci who was COO at IGO. Peter Bradford died unexpected in his 60's, whilst he was considered close to mining sainthood/royalty the company has moved forward and is in relatively tough negotiations in the Ni save including takeover battles of Ni minors, between BHP, FMG and itself.

Of course FMG losing CEO, CFO and several other board and senior executives is not a good look.
