Because that's not how market capitalisation works. Market capitalisation is your number of shares multiplied by the share price. Share price is determined by demand and supply. It's not uncommon for enterprise value to be less than market capitalisation. A negative EV if there are high cash reserves and a low market capitalisation can occur.
