No, I have nothing against the family per se - my comment was in the context of another post about dismissing James Graham as CEO. He, together with his family and associates hold sufficient shares to ensure that doesn't happen. Likewise, good luck to any shareholder who might want to vote down the extravagant salary and travel expenses they have chosen to pay themselves. In this type of situation, the shareholders are just along for the ride, with no ability to influence anything.
COULD they be successful? Sure. WILL they be successful? Not in my opinion. The method they have chosen to get there, the abilities of the CEO and the technology that has yet to prove itself, are behind my reasoning.
As to listening to critical opinions - good for you - they are the only ones worth listening to, because keeping an open mind means you just might learn something. People who pay attention to only complimentary opinions are indulging in self-delusion, from which they will learn nothing. Surrounding themselves with others that think just like they do only serves to shore up their confirmation bias - and that's a recipe for disaster.
