Wow, Ron Douglas and Ian Smith! There's a duo no one ever wanted to see again.
Ian lost $5+ billion (that's with a 'B') of SH value due to his terrible performance at Newcrest and then went on to devastate Orica before getting fired for bullying. That's quality!
And Ron is his little buddy he drags around to bully middle management and generally be his hatchet man whilst also burning through company funds like a drunken sailor.
Neither will deliver any value whatsoever for SHs I'm sorry to say. They'll put a show for a while, fund their own lavish lifestyles using company money and then move on to next poor company.
Note - I do wish VHM SH's all the very best and I only share this so you know what you're in for. My recommendation is the stay well away while these guys are managing the company.
