Contrary to what some are saying Vinneh you are not alone in your interpretation For years now, even before the latest successfully platform lot, retention has been glossed over and been stated that needs more study If 4DS is trying to argue that it tech fits somewhere between Dram and Flash, some meaningful retention is important without killing speed We keep talking about NVM, but realistically we don"t really have it In fareness the term NVM is usually linked to memory with a retention of say 10 years plus None of this is to say that the 4DS tech does not have a place, but at this early stage a lot more work needs to be done to really ascertain its position The blunderbusting approach of DM doesn"t help. The changes going on in the Flash domain for example clearly seem to be beyond his grasp I don"t expect all metrics to be displayed fully as this is really a buyers domain Nevertheless shareholders are entitled to know where this is heading with IMEC, even if this means a pause in investor enthusiasm
