I too have serious reservations about the invasion of privacy by the media. One of the worst examples of which is the publication of topless-bottomless photos of Kate Middleton; almost a re-run of what was done to the People's Princess.
However, given the auction of Tony Abbott signed budgie smugglers and Alan Jones's froth it appears as though arrangements for this function were pretty lax. Indeed, the Young Libs appear to have placed $funds well ahead of security checks and the vetting of people seeking entry.
