The only one not informed on the process of Battery grade seems to be you.
Two additional stages had to be added to get it to battery grade. Almost all lithium can be brought to battery grade with enough processing. That does not mean it is economical to do so!
Clearly the Chinese where not interested and this change of strategy is just BS and the new spin tag line from the new brokers.
Metoo is completely right, They would be crowing it from the highest roof top if the test was any good.
