INTEVIA TO PROVIDE HIGH SECURITY FOR INTERMODAL FREIGHT CONTAINERS CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, USA – 29 October 2007 – It was announced today that Telezygology® Inc. (TZI) has secured a purchase order from Porter Technologies, LLC to design and fabricate a Cargo Security Device (CSD) for the intermodal and storage container market. The CSD will utilize Intevia® Intelligent Fastening Technology in Porter Technologies’ application for this rapidly growing security market. Porter Technologies is a premier innovator of container and transportation security products. The TZ Group will design and integrate Intevia technology into a CSD product, named “GateKeeper” that will provide a high security seal with authorized electronic access for the intermodal freight transport market. Intermodal freight transport involves the transportation of freight in a container using multiple modes of transportation (rail, ocean vessel and truck) without the handling of the freight itself when changing modes. Approximately 250 million containers are shipped annually around the world and the global shipping system is a critical infrastructure for the global economy. Securing these containers to prevent theft and prevent potential terrorist actions is a significant issue. The Porter Technologies’ device strongly supports US Department of Homeland Security and Cargo Security Initiatives. The GateKeeper enabled with Intevia® technology will provide a new level of physical security. The device is keyless and easily attaches to the lock bars of any ISO container.
