Very true. A lot of IT people are concerned about making a recommendation without doing extensive testing.

I think part of it is that they don't want to make a wrong choice (not that SMX would be a wrong choice) but they also may not enjoy project type work. Some prefer day-to-day support rather than planning and implementing new systems and they are against anything that "rocks the boat".
