Clark, what a stupid comment to make. What's your problem here? If you don't like it make your point. To go on and on like a dripping tap becomes tiresome. I respect the fact that you invest your money in bluechips. Well, so do I and so do many others but I also allocate a percentage of the portfolio to more riskier shares. If there is a retrace in some of these shares so be it. I don't feel that I need to trash all of these speculative miners.

You're bluechip portfolio is very good, in fact, we are both shareholders in at least 15 companies. Your investment philosophy is, however, clearly conservative. Nothing wrong with that and there is nothing wrong with having a more riskier pf also.
