This progresses the divestment of Metallica’s wholly owned subsidiary, SE QLD Energy Pty Ltd (which holds 100% of the Kingaroy Coal Project – EPC 882) from which Metallica will receive 30 million fully paid Shares each with one free attaching option at $0.20 (expiring on 30 November 2009). Metallica would become the largest shareholder upon listing, holding approximately 40% of the company. In addition MLM will receive a royalty payment of $0.40 per tonne for any coal produced from within the EPC 882.


B. 31 Oct 2006: Metallica in $2 million coal-to-liquids Joint Venture with EMC, a subsidiary of Brisbane-based coal-to-liquids specialist, Ambre Energy Pty Ltd who is the majority shareholder and project manager of a US based company with coal to liquids expertise and technology, and an operating pilot plant.

A. Nornico Deposits (100% owned)
26 Oct 2006: The Scoping Study for a potential 1.5 Mtpa heap leach operation, to produce in the order of 10,000 tpa of contained nickel metal was positive. Metallica is now progressing the heap leach project to a Pre-feasibility study stage.
