My 2 cents worth, here goes.

There were trying to package the deal up so as to conserve whatever else assets the company has in order to hybernate till the next round of nickel boom. it also makes it more attractive for Bergen to invest their money in.

Barnes Hill is meant to be the platform from which Proto is able to spin money to fund its other operations. This is especially the Lindermans bore exploration (which draws my initial interest).

If you read chairman of MFC's AGM address, it mentioned none of MFC's project are viable at this stage. That includes Barnes Hill.

unless we get SIR style bump, i doubt many LT holders will ever get remotely close to getting their money back.
