We know better than they do

    take Ayers Rock or uluru

we have banned climbing it, when the custodian I think his name was paddy Uluru who was deemed the elder in charge of Uluru was asked about climbing the rock he said he didn’t care.
The climbing of the rock was no big deal, many aboriginals had climbed it, it was no cultural significance and is stupid tourists wanted to climb it good for them.

A couple of areas around the rock deemed sacred sites and it was asked that they be barricaded.

Then somehow it seems the narrative grew that it was a no no to climb the rock and everyone jumped on the bandwagon, now they receive 70 million less per annum in tourist dollars

nlw to make up the revenue they will agree to mine for uranium or oil or gold for royalties and wreck more land And the people who stopped the tourism money coming in will be the ones complaining the living standards in those communities aren’t good enough
