Lots of different languages for sure .
More complicated society structure than most people realise which helped avoid interbreeding .

And how they survived in summer in the very arid regions is a miracle .
When I was younger working on a mining camp I had a bit to do with some Wongatha people out east in the north eastern goldfields ,(Wongai) .
They still had tribal markings and their own language as well as running their own construction company and running a bus route .
Went bush occasionaly and one collected Sandalwood .Others worked on the minesite .
Some mixed race but mainly quite pure aboriginal still .
Some old ladies could only speak their own language still .
Without qualification , dammed fine people !
I remember names still , they left an impression .
