well Aus day went off without a hitch.. people did whatever they want, where ever they wanted and it was great ! I think the option for people to go to work as well is a brilliant reform, just a really good tweak with that extra bit of flexibility without being a mandate or anything.
driving around today I noticed quite a few Aussie flags had been raised in front yards, which IMHO is a pretty tasteful way to make a statement and perhaps to my eye there seemed to be less flags on cars, flags draped around pissed people, flag themed clothing, hats, sunglasses and other crap that will end up in the bin
eventually, people will lower their front porch flags, by their own choice, and all will be calm and all will be well.. survival protestors had their moment, had their say and that's important.. the discussion is not going away
