Nope. Definitely, absolutely not. It must take a reasonable time to process, at least weeks, not days. That seems to have been the majority of the problem, approving things far too quickly. There are several instances in the CoA Judgment where the judges have criticised the relevant govt authorities for approving things so quickly that they couldn't possibly have given due consideration as to whether what they were doing was correct. And it because these things were rushed, mistakes were made, that AVQ is in the current pickle.
I don't think a suspension is warranted. If folk want to sell of, well, that's what a market is for. Nobody has to sell, or, at least, if they are in that position then that's their problem - we never knew when the decision would be handed down until last Friday anyway.
Preventing people from selling via a suspension when all the information is on the table isn't what the ASX is for IMO. And no, I won't be selling!
