How many Asx cos. have $1.43 bill. and not $1 of debt (after the recent conversion of the convertible bonds).
In any downturn in the market OZL is looking good to snap up any distressed miners. An enviable position to be in.
The strategic investment in Sandfire Resources -
25.8 million shares at $3.87 now at $8.23- a profit of
$112 million and counting.
Huge ammounts of money being made from the cash cow Prominent Hill.
Copper Gold and Silver at all time highs.
Over $50 million to be spent on exploration. Not even big
mining cos. spend that much.
The chance of a special dividend or a large increase in the next dividend.
The commencement of the underground mine at Prominent Hill.
etc. etc. etc.
Too much is being made of the class actions. Insurance and the action against the auditors will cover any settlement due.
If i was looking for a safe stock (read no debt) then OZL is definately up there with the best.
