Also read about JPMorgan owning a mother load of the LME. I believe more banks will be looking a lot more at owning these types of assets in the wake of the GFC (bit better than a mortgage in Memphis on a house with nobody living in it). The volatility will certainly be there along with huge manipulation from time to time, but IMO the trend will be higher as record consumption continues unabated in China/India. On a loosely related issue, IMO Australia should be running metals exchanges, not selling ASX et al to Singapore Inc.
