Arbitration: Committees want to dig into the basis for decisions on uranium bans. The Audit Committee wants an investigation to be opened into whether Inatsisartut had all the relevant information regarding the consequences of the uranium law and the risk of a gigantic claim for damages when the law was passed. The arbitration case between the mining company Energy Transition Minerals (ETM) and Greenland/Denmark is now taking a new turn politically. In connection with the audit of the National Treasury's accounts for 2022, the Audit Committee has requested an investigation of the actual decision to reintroduce the uranium ban in the autumn of 2021.The uranium ban plays a key role in ETM initiating arbitration proceedings and settling a gigantic claim for damages of DKK 76 billion.
