    Hey mate,

    before I begin, this in foremost NOT investment advice and just my thoughts/past experiences

    Firstly, congrats on your wealth generation wealth so far!

    Secondly, its good that you want to diversify and using funds to do so. Have thought of using ETF's as well?

    It will provide a general sense on what everything you need to know to start dabbling.

    Thirdly, if you are still unsure I would recommend seeing a financial adviser who can guide you through the process such as risk profiles etc...

    Forth, there has been a lot of talk of ETFs being better than LIC's as they are more tax effective/lower fees. ETFs that mimic the ASX and other indexes around the world are often use. There are even bond like ETF's as well.
