My advise (for what it’s worth) is the best financial advise one can receive is to never use financial advisors.
All the information needed to educate yourself is freely available on the web, and eventually you will form a view that the bulk of your future portfolio should be in ETF’s, LIC’s (carefully selected to be purchased if possible below NTA), and ‘Tracker funds’, and here my personal preference is the ‘Vanguard’ range.
Vanguard have a product known as ‘Lifestrategy’ which can be an almost ‘one stop’ investment spread globally across asset classes, and automatically rebalanced, and the fees are very low.
Conventional fund managers rarely beat the various indexes, but charge a fortune for the privilege, your research will reveal this.
Maybe leave a small portion for direct shares, but these must be carefully selected after diligent research.
