I speculate it was a possibility back then, but now it looks more like political rhetoric. and as bacci and willi suggest it looks more unlikely as this is more a sop to the greens rather than a serious effort to bolster Aus manufacture.
I would love to believe this announcement yet there remain so many questions and dubious claims made, mostly via Bowen, that the assertions are less credible than they should be. certainly more information will come over the next week. I look forward to reading some info that settles my doubts.
"Might be a waste of money like the previous expenditure on carbon capture". ...... is exactly my concern.
