According to the annual report, the M$425 odd is spread over cash, term deposit and “liquid investments” (this includes shares). Since we don’t know the breakdown of this how can you pass judgement on the board? A business which is in a high risk operation as mining is isn’t going to buy back shares to pump up the share price for our benefit when they may need emergency funds due to any number of disasters.
