Hi Intheblack & Tiger2three,
I'm looking for some good LICs to buy into but i'm finding it hard to actually purchase them because of the premium that they're trading at.. and we're talking huge premiums not just a few percent.
I already have some exposure to an ETF (STW), but i would like a couple of LICs because firstly they have the CGT discount if i sell them in the future, secondly, they tend to have a SPP once or twice a year. Also, they seem to out perform ETFs though i haven't seen an accumulation graph (reinvested divs) comparing them.
I spose my question is would you just bite the bullet and invest now or wait for the premiums to come down to a respectable amount?
