the clincher in that announcement was simply one line for me "Farm-out on track for 30th September – expect re-rating".

Just goes to display the confidence of the management team that a deal SHOULD BE DONE. "expect re-rating" for me is basically a give-away that they are pretty sure that the share price is going to undergo a significant re-rating.

As others previously have stated, why would they have come out with this announcement if they weren't confident in a deal being done.
