You are correct & Corruption remains a problem in government, notably in public procurement, Its former prime minister & finance minister were arrested on a military contract fraud charge amounting to $40,000,000. No doubt Government officials took their share of the pot paid by Firefinch. Both Firefinch & Leo Lithium should have done the correct due diligence & realised the Mali is an unstable country, corrupt & therefore not a good place to do business.
