Yeah more negligence where you get those type of damages. The judges shouldn't give a flying fck about gas prices. All they should be looking at is the legal and contractual obligations of the VIC to the lesees. Whilst they are entitled to introduce a moratorium, question to be answer is whether they showed consideration to existing license holders. In effect they rendered licences and investment made by LKO worthless.

So yes I feel there is good argument for compensation based on the amount invested. There is then also a question of the licences & tenements. Whilst the government introduced a moratorium, it shouldn't null and void any existing licences granted as that would then have to be applied to all gas companies.

I feel that $14million is the difference between drilling in SA, or bust.
