For what it is worth, Naish - we too feel your pain. Not for the length of time, nor the amount of shares, but it is all still quite relevant for us. If Unilife should not deliver, we too will have a very humble retirement ......presuming it is in our Life`s Plan to actually “have one at all !”
We still remain optimistic that the changes/revamp/ new direction for Unilife this year will be to all Shareholder`s benefit and that there is no deliberate “plan” to the contrary. At least by having that “mind set” it is keeping our stress levels down ....while ...we... wait .... to be informed further.
You may recall that we have a daughter with the most common mutation of Cystic Fibrosis. She is now 25 years old. Up until recently her life had been relatively “normal” and as I have mentioned before, we have always been incredibly grateful for that fact.
However, a few months back our daughter gained “a bad bug” in her lungs. Now after numerous anti-biotic (oral and intra-veinous) she is still struggling to get her Lung Function up to a healthier “safe zone” and back on track. It has been isolating for her in many aspects of her life and we have been incredibly proud of her focus, determination and ability to remain in good spirit. For us it has been a very sobering experience. It has been heart wrenching listening to her attempts for hours to clear her airways and for her just to regain her breath at times. As I said our daughter had been in relatively good health for someone with Cystic Fibrosis until now. These past few months have given us just a small taste of what other`s with such conditions must endure and my heart totally aches for them as to what is “fair in life.”
Previously our “investment” in UNS had consumed a lot more of our spare time, but as you can imagine Unilife has taken “a back seat” in our priorities now.
We have only been on the UNS Roller Coaster/Big Dipper for 4 years, which is a very short time in comparison to others who have feelings of being mislead and/or cheated.
I have just felt the need tonight to write and feel that our only option now is to learn from observing our daughter:- remain focused for a positive outcome and to make sure we never lose an Attitude of Gratitude for all
that is good in our lives. Just maybe it really is that simple.
PS On the bright side for you - it is great that you have given up smoking. I genuinely mean that - well done!
