MarkHGO, why would Labor (not 'Labour') and radical so-called "independents" such as the Teals and the ex-rugby player Pocock take a "measured" approach?

Already employer groups such as the Restaurant and Caterers Association have attacked the Australian Hotels Association for the latter's naivety, arrogance, laziness and downright stupidity in meekly accepting the proposed Labor changes to workplace regulation.

Read Robert Gottliebsen in 'The Australian', plus various journalists from the 'AFR' for a critique of what's occurring, buried deep in the detail. There's no substantive changes yet, but some have had the wool pulled over their eyes.

Not good for ASH in the slightest, even if Mr Shrimpton is a seasoned operator who can legally exploit any loopholes. The Federal Opposition's concerns via Senator Cash (Liberal, WA) are very well founded and accurate.
