That's the biggest thing with any share, tying up capital which could be used elsewhere. VCR has actually done well since the May correction, but then again CSL has put on 50% since then, PDN 100% but BHP has actually lost ground. So that puts a bit of perspective on it, who thought you would lose capital holding a blue chip like BHP for 12 months? I thought the action we saw in Jan could of made VCR flavour of the month again, but it didn't last longer than a week or two. I am sure VCR will have its time again, but when is the million dollar question. When it moves buy, until then if you are a believer keep accumulating.... can't help but think things would be different if Spooner was still CEO....
