At 4c everyone says they'd be happy with 6c. But if it runs to 6c easily, we all start to think 8c is feasible. At 8c....and so it goes. Sentiment can't shift in an instant. And then everything is forgotten and up is the new black.
There's a great title to a very mediocre book called "Everything is forever until it is no more". Sums up perfectly how it can all change in an instant - or with one great announcement.
