To be honest I wish SM would just scrap the lokichar analogies as it was written down to a big fat zero in the end. The discoveries were made in the 2000s where I remember everyone was scared about reaching peak oil but extraction technologies improved vastly since especially in horizontal drilling and fraccing technologies as seen in the USA. So no you aren't going to get anywhere near the farm in offers of that Era and I'd see it more as somebody in the power generation that come up with some cash but nowhere near the offers of the 2000s.
