Invion's Chair and CEO appointed to Advisory Board of Stanford Medicine CARE

Invion's Executive Chair, Thian Chew, has been appointed to the Advisory Board of the Stanford University School of Medicine's Center for Asian Health Research and Education (CARE).

The appointment will present opportunities for Invion to leverage on Stanford University’s medical expertise as Invion looks to undertake a series of clinical trials following its NMSC trial.

Thian Chew, Distinguished Life Sciences Executive, Joins Stanford Medicine’s Center for Asian Health Research and Education (CARE) Advisory Board [Stanford, California] – The Stanford Center for Asian Health Research and Education (CARE) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Thian Chew, Chairman & CEO of Invion Limited (ASX: IVX), to its Advisory Board. Mr. Chew brings a wealth of global experience and expertise to the organization. As a member of the Advisory Board, he will provide valuable guidance in shaping and advancing CARE’s mission of enhancing the health of Asians and Asian Americans globally. He is currently the Chairman & CEO of Invion Limited (ASX: IVX), an Australian clinical-stage life sciences firm focusing on transforming Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) into a novel and effective treatment for cancers and infectious diseases. Mr. Chew is also the Co-Founder of Chronic Airway Therapeutics, which is undertaking clinical trials for the treatment of respiratory diseases. Before founding and leading companies in the biomedical field, Mr. Chew was Managing Partner at Polar Ventures and an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs (New York, Hong Kong), responsible for the firm’s proprietary investments. Prior to this, he was at Morgan Stanley’s Strategic Services Group (New York) and spent a decade at KPMG (Melbourne, Taipei, Sydney, Singapore), taking multiple roles across the Asia Pacific, including leading business transformation and post-merger integration programs. Mr. Chew holds an MBA from the Wharton School (Palmer Scholar) / MA (Lauder Institute), University of Pennsylvania, and a BA. in Information Systems from Monash University. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology. Advisory Board members offer valuable external perspectives, guidance on the center’s research, education, guest lecturing, and community outreach programs, and contribute insight and support for the center's strategic direction and overarching objectives. Mr. Chew will begin his three-year term as a board member on February 13th, 2024.
