@terryb be I don't know which platform you trade on but beware of the stop loss orders some offer, they are more conditional orders. The difference is if you put a "stop loss" order in on a share at $1 and the sp falls from $1.05 to $0.95 never trading at $1 then a proper stop loss order would trigger a sale but a conditional order would not as the share never traded at $1.
