Yes, I too believe something is going on.
From 15:54:51 until 16:28:11 on the ASX there were 100 trades for a total of 52,975,710 shares traded. Giving a combined total for the Chi-X and ASX for the day of over 69m shares traded.
I wonder if it is some of the Shorts being "squared-up". But in saying that, over the last few days of my data, the shorts are running at approx 90m, so I think it could be something else.
Anybody else got some info on this ?
