Gees boys if it was only that easy, what about all the other company costs. Leave the Break Even calculations to the analysts. They are not be very good with predicting IO price but they sure as hell know how to work out breakeven cost for Iron ore companies. Get a hold of the Melbourne Herald Sun Business section from Good Friday. BCI breakeven $57/t @ AU/US 76c. or macro business http://www.macrobusiness.com.au/2015/04/iron-ore-miner-breakevens-revisited/ If you factor in recent and expected cost cutting we can target a current Break even of $55/t @ 76c. AGO is in deeper trouble than BCI with less room to cut cost. Don't know what they are going to do but that is their problem.
Great quarterly for BCI management is doing a great job. Just need a glimmer of hope with the direction of the IOP. For me that mean it has to settle above $50/t on the Futures market.
Don't be fooled right here and now @Io $47/t BCI are losing on every scoop of red dirt at a rate of $AU40mill per year.
