The industry is not a place for small companies IMO. There has been constant change in this industry with M&A activity as is highlighted by AWM's journey:
- originally known as Tower, AWM demerged with Tower Life.
- Then AWM merged with Select
- Then made another purchase (name of company escapes me)
- Then merged with IOOF
This was all in the space of a few years.
Bring on an ANZ takeover - they need a new brand for the recently purchased ING WM anyway.
