I think what a lot of people are missing is the fact that IOT is a technology company, not a drone selfie company. This drone won't be their main product. It's just the start to get them exposure and attention. They are in the broader home automation market, smart watch market plus much more. This company is headed by an ex Sony & virgin boss with a very clever team behind him. If they didn't have this selfie drone I would still invest heavily and I don't say that lightly.
