Have included a link to imo is the best book on candlestick charting for reference.
Best to read for yourself the correct industry standard interperations as @9olives & @acouch have mentioned previously.
It is a black or white interperation. There's no grey. @slick information on gaps isn't correct in this instance.
Anyway, that's enough on gaps. The book links give the correct info.
