I know I said I wouldn't comment until Akida released however, I think a very important announcement is due this quarter that should be the start of a significant Akida marketing campaign.

The Akida development environment including the CNN to SNN conversion capability is available today in beta release and is scheduled for general release in the third quarter of 2019. Upon request, the Company will provide detailed information about the performance of the Akida platform on industry standard benchmarks as well as novel implementations for Edge devices.Roger Levinson, BrainChip COO commented, “The low power inherent in the Akida device will set a new standard in neural network design, implementation and performance. With no barriers to utilizing the Akida platform, Edge solution developers will have their cake and eat it too. They can leverage existing CNN solutions as well as incorporate next generation SNN solutions all in a single development environment and on a single device and achieve a low power solution without sacrificing performance.
General release means Akida Development will face its toughest market test and seriously put its future reputation on the line.
If the general release is perceived by users as not adding significant value and works especially handling CNN to SNN conversions seamlessly then all over red rover.
No wonder the company has gone quiet it is working on its most significant marketing tool - The General Release of the ADE (including CNN to SNN converters) - hopefully bug free because whilst a bug in beta is expected a General Release it can severely dent the technical reputation.
Alongside this important General Release they are developing the chip samples which if the GeneraL Release IS A SUCCESS demand for sample chips in test products will skyrocket
Anyway my take on it all and happy with the progress to getting it right too much at stake and the IP for sale shingle to my mind is to get qualified sales leads and meaningful engagements with IP buyers at a technical level - company to company
Write again soon when the ADE General Release happens this quarter - I expect it to be a big splash
