I queried the IP ownership and IP cost with LBT. This is what they said:
Quote. The IP relating to the APAS Independence is protected by a patent family including 4 separate patents. The patents cover items such as the imaging and lighting, as well as the AI algorithm. LBT own all of the patents associated with the technology. One thing to note is that the “patent costs” you refer to includes costs towards the ongoing development of the APAS technology. Unquote.
For some reason they include R&D cost in the patent cost.
