I had mentioned the timing of NOXs lapsing IP last Nov. It is now official that the second provisional application has now lapsed. The two now lapsed applications were both labeled "Improvement of potency of anti-cancer drugs" The third provisional application filled just fours day before the 12 month deadline onr the second one passed is called "Targeted drug delivery" filled on the 22-11-2016. The change in name and the add hock manner in which the IP applications seem to be carried out suggest there is a real issue here. A trial is starting with no IP rights on a drug whose IP belongs to another company up to Aug this year. The only IP now being sought is the method of delivery. One now claiming to be "targeted drug delivery" which the "means of delivery is largely founded on nanomedicine, which plans to employ nanoparticle-mediated drug delivery in order to combat the downfalls of conventional drug delivery."
This sort of delivery requires a high level of expertise in fact one that is "highly integrated and requires various disciplines, such as chemists, biologists, and engineers, to join forces to optimize this system"
Is this new delivery system nanotechnology? I doubt it.
