    It's late over here and I'm not spending all night arguing the toss with you. You've made the claim that there is insufficient solar energy due to the modelling simplification to drive tropospheric weather systems. That's your claim, not mine. Your argument for why you think that is totally unclear and unsubstantiated, but that appears to be your claim.

    I've pointed out the paper I linked showed the difference caused by that modelling simplification is only around <1%, or iirc 2W/m2 in around 240.

    So it makes little difference as far as that goes and hence rebuts your claim.
