I agree that work is needed to reduce and cleanup pollution. But if it is being done under the guise of preventing global warming and that is exposed as a hoax, then all the measures started to reduce pollution will also be considered part of the hoax and lose the support of the ordinary person around the world whose behaviour is the key to success.
Recently a climate scientist declared that it is easier to forecast the climate 100 years from now than the weather 100 days out. Even now we do believe the weather forecasters, such as their prediction of a La Nina this year, but we only have to wait 100 days to find out that, as in the case of the La Nina prediction, that they were using incomplete and irrelevant data to make their predictions. It's got to the stage now, that any long range weather forecasts made by BOM are to all practical purposes, useless. People depending on them can't work with a forecast that predicts a 50% chance that it is going to be wetter or dryer. Even if they take a risk they only raise the probability to about 55%, which is about as useless. It is no wonder that many people subscribe to private forecasters that are able to provide clear and accurate forecasts that their clients to make important decisions on.
As we are now moving from the cold winter to the hot summer, we go through periods of cold and extremely wet weather. Do we see the weather forecasters projecting that period of weather to forecast that the summer is going to be cold and wet? A couple of days in the weather cycle is like a couple of centuries in the climate cycle.
