Fusion certainly is a possibility...

But we have a great resistance even to fission from the regressive and irresponsible greenies...

It would seem to make sense to develop what we have now rather while we continue the experimentation and development process for the fusion reactors...

And of course the payoff and paradigm change from more widespread, hopefully lower cost energy availability from nuclear power can be contrasted with the greenie view and outlook of highly restricted, rationed and expensive energy supply...
