No, CTP has not been shifted to the bottom of the gas supply list, although whether IPL still needs to take their gas after this deal with PWC, we will have to see. But the NEGI pipeline should have a capacity somewhere in the 200+ TJ/d range to Mt Isa. No way IPL will use that much - they were looking for about 40 TJ/d from CTP (15 PJ pa).

CTP is the only other "foundation" supplier for NEGI that we are aware of so there is still plenty of spare capacity for them. The problem comes after Mt Isa where the Carpentaria pipeline linking it with Ballera is only 108 TJ/d capacity according to AEMO. This will probably be the choke point in NEGI.

But in the early days of NEGI, that should be almost entirely available to CTP assuming the pipeline direction is reversed back to Ballera. And since CTP was only talking yesterday about aiming to have capacity of 45 TJ/d available for NEGI, it should be able to take every TJ CTP can send its way.
