You are both right.
Out of the population of Australia there are a lot who want to stay put and enjoy the beauty of their homeland in the best locations - Noosa, Port Stephens, Mornington Peninsula, Coogee, Newcastle, South Coast - all Alloggio brand locations. They want the ease, safety, unique experience of a holiday home. Technology and online means this is now a smoother experience these days.
Now put yourself in the shoes of a busy couple with two young kids. It's pretty easy to drive and book and stay at a holiday house. Controlled environment. Homes which are spacious and comfortable if you looked at their websites. That's easier than taking kids in the middle of COVID to say Asia or Europe. Imagine the hassle.
It's not to say international is not going to be huge. if you are 27/28 years old with basic responsibilities and been locked down in Melb for 2 years - International travel is a chance to see the world. Some would do anything to just enjoy their youth, see another country, meet new people, make up for a difficult covid period.
The same goes for people in Asia, US, Europe, when international opens up we will see travellers make effort at all costs to visit one of the better managed, safest and most beautiful places in the world - Australia.
For the meantime that's pure upside for Alloggio.
The demand will be enormous. For now we will probably continue to see Alloggio holiday properties booked out and hopefully continue to grow their number of listings.
