It’s fairly typical of assets where majors have lost interest for various reasons and a small or mid cap can take over and transform it into a completely different operation. We can see that already with Telfer. It seems clear too that at Newcrest Sandeep Biswas was v keen on Havieron but when he left, it was just left to fester and Shaun Day saw the opportunity to take it back for ggp.
It’s clear ggp is aiming to recreate the NST story, and the next few months/years will be fascinating. The board clearly knows its business and has put the company in a great place to succeed. As an investor for several years now I’m v happy indeed with their progress and once on asx expectations will only increase.
